Policies

We have several policies we wish to advise our guests about:

1) Because of our proximity to the water, we don't recommend bookings by parties with young children (below the age of 10).  We may accept young children, but require a Waiver of Liability in those cases.  

2) If you want to have a party at Cattail Landing, we require prior notice and that we discuss the event.  Our concern is to maintain our "Good Neighbor" policy regarding people arriving or leaving the property late at night.

3) We have both a fireplace and fire pit that may be used, but we require that you notify us if you wish to use them, in which case we will assist you in starting them and explain the appropriate precautions.  

 

 
 

CATTAIL LANDING Policies

1) We are located on a private road, but before arriving on our property,  you must pass several houses where our neighbors have young children and pets.  Please do not exceed 15 MPH once you turn onto Neale Ave. from Idewilde Rd.  

2) Because of our proximity to the water, we don't recommend bookings by parties with young children (below the age of 10).  We may accept young children, but require a Waiver of Liability in those cases.  

3) If you want to have a party at Cattail Landing, we require prior notice and that we discuss and approve the event.  Our concern is to maintain our "Good Neighbor" policy regarding people arriving or leaving the property late at night.

Privacy

We use an ADT System with an external camera to monitor people arriving at Cattail Landing, so that our occupancy terms are complied with.  The ADT System also has smoke and fire detectors, and will dispatch an alert to our Fire Department in the case of such an event. 

 
 
 

Security

By virtue of our location on the Shady Side Peninsula, with only one road in and out of the community (Idewilde Rd), we are a very secure location.  We also have great neighbors who look out for each other!

 
 
 

Cancellations & Refunds

For vacation rental guests we observe and apply Air Bnb's terms and conditions for cancellations and refunds.  Other events such as retreats, workshops, and photography/video/film bookings, are governed by the contract signed with the client.
